Studying abroad seems to be an exciting opportunity for many students who strive to travel and discover foreign culture and way of life. By the time of high school, the daily routine of students in their home country seems already boring: all places are visited, the social environment remains the same, and no interesting changes are expected until the start of college, at least. Studying at the foreign school is a perfect chance to make a difference and garnish the student’s life with new impressions and expand their social environment.
It would be fair to admit that the main reason why most students do not even consider the possibility of studying abroad is a financial challenge. An average American family of a middle-class cannot afford to send their children to study abroad as many foreign schools require a comparatively high tuition fee. However, some universities provide exchange programs so that American student can study at the partnering educational institution in another country. Exchange of students is a widespread tactic which helps teenagers to go abroad and spend an affordable sum of money on the tuition.
Perhaps, students who cannot afford to study abroad at the moment will benefit if more schools and universities worked on their international connections. Thus, American students shall be able to study in Europe or Asia and discover more about false stereotypes and real life outside the home country. Studying abroad will become a trend as soon as it will be affordable to an average student of a high school or college.
